I have a little crafty make for you today on Day 3 of Zero Waste Week – Work With Waste Wednesday. Our eldest needed new polo shirts for school so I inevitably ended up with some packaging, two resealable plastic bags, each with a tiny plastic hanger at the top. The bags I can reuse as rubbish bags or for the freezer. However, the hangers posed a problem and I was determined not to throw them away.
I looked at them for a while, wondering what I could do with them. They weren’t sturdy enough to hang anything heavy from them, but I thought they might make cute hangers for doll’s clothes. I wanted to jazz them up a bit though and set about covering them in ribbon.
Here’s how it went:
It’s turned out a bit rough and ready, but for my first attempt I don’t think it’s too bad! I don’t think I’ll be giving up my day job just yet though!
